NOTTOWAY CAReS has received a $50,000 one-to-one challenge grant from the Mary Morton Parsons Foundation. All donations to the Build a Better Shelter Campaign between June 6 and September 6, 2022 count toward the goal of raising $50,000 in matching funds to receive the grant.

Our Mission
NOTTOWAY CAReS is a volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2019. Our mission is to help Nottoway County plan and fund a larger, modern, state-compliant animal shelter that provides a high level of humane care for dogs and cats in need of shelter and adoption.
Build a Better Shelter Campaign
The NOTTOWAY CAReS Build a Better Shelter fundraising campaign was launched in November 2021 with a goal of $500,000. The purpose of the campaign is to enable the County to build the best animal shelter possible by raising funds to augment the County’s budget for the project.
